LUCA Plus Represents Australia in Global Blockchain Bootcamp
After a year of success, Australian fintech start-up, LUCA Plus, has been selected to join the 2020 Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) industry cohort virtually in Tel Aviv at the Israel Blockchain Startup Bootcamp. In partnership with SOSA and Blockchain Australia, the launchpad event provides market-ready Australian startups and scaleups with access to some of the world’s most renowned hubs and blockchain industry ecosystems.
The selection comes as part of the advancement of the National Blockchain Roadmap, an Australian government initiative to highlight blockchain’s potential and opportunities for private sector advancement.
The National Roadmap states Blockchain technology is predicted to generate an annual business value of over US$175 billion by 2025 and in excess of US$3 trillion by 2030, presenting enormous opportunities for Australian fintech advancement. As a result, the Australian Government has invested in a wide range of blockchain-related activities to date through programs such as Austrade trade missions, and aims to demonstrate use cases while helping businesses bring blockchain products to market.
LUCA Plus was selected as representatives amongst other Australian Startups, including; BuildSort Civic Ledger Geora ProvenDB Sempo and VeriDoc Global
In April 2019, LUCA Plus introduced its blockchain-based e-invoicing technology to the Australian market. LUCA Plus e-invoicing software provides bookkeeping automation across all major accounting platforms, removing the most time consuming elements of accounting, while also being a preferred ATO accredited solution for any enterprises.
As an Landing Pad participant, LUCA Plus can expect to further benefit from Austrade’s business and advisory networks, while also gaining exposure to angel investors, venture capital and other potential sources of investment both domestically and from international Blockchain hubs.
LUCA Plus CEO, Ray Wang has said
“It’s extremely exciting that LUCA Plus has been considered one the most capable Blockchain businesses in the nation. This opportunity through SOSA and Austrade will allow us to further our blockchain and provides invaluable networking opportunities in and around the Australian startup growth space.”
The Virtual Blockchain Bootcamp will run from between the 26th-29th October 2020.
