Fintech Start-Up once again Champions Australian Innovation

Australian fintech start-up, LUCA Plus, has been nominated as finalists in the 2020 Finnies Awards, hosted by FinTech Australia. With over 200 entrants competing across 19 categories, the 2020 Finnies Awards have brought much excitement, even having crashed the FinTech Australia website!

Nominated in ‘Excellence In Blockchain/Distributed Ledger And Digital Currencies/Wallets/Exchanges’ category, the Melbourne-based e-invoicing vendor is one of the first in the world. In April 2019, LUCA Plus introduced its game-changing e-invoicing technology to the Australian market. LUCA Plus e-Invoicing software provides automation across all major accounting platforms, removing the most time consuming elements of bookkeeping, while its ATO accreditation makes it an ideal solution for any enterprises. A preferred partner of XERO , MYOB and QuickBooks, LUCA Plus offers the security and convenience of the internationally validated Peppol system.

The fintech startup recently won sought-after top five recognition in Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund/HSBC JUMPSTARTER 2020 Global Pitch Competition, adding to its broad-reaching recognition including as: 2019 Finalist Accountancy Software of the Year, Member of the Melbourne Accelerator Program, 2019 Winner of the EY Foundry program.

Leo Huang, Chairman and Co-founder of LUCA Plus, said it’s been wonderful to be recognised within the Australian Fintech community, particularly amongst what has been an exceptional crowd of candidates.

“One of the primary reasons for entering the Finnies Awards was that the competition offered an opportunity to expose LUCA Plus to new networks of like minded people and businesses. Beyond this, it was great to learn of other offerings out there in the market, and be critiqued on our product and efforts within the company.”

Each of the category winners will be announced at the Finnies Awards virtual ceremony on Wednesday, 28 October 2020.

LUCA Plus was nominated alongside other Australian start-ups, including: Loki Project, Geora & Civic Ledger.
