Aussie Startup Blitzes Field in Global Pitch Competition
Australian fintech startup, LUCA Plus (The Block Ledger Pty Ltd) , has been awarded a sought-after gong in the Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund/HSBC JUMPSTARTER 2020 Global Pitch Competition.
Competing against 40 global finalists, the Melbourne-based e-Invoicing and blockchain vendor was introduced into the Australian market in April 2019. LUCA Plus e-invoicing software enables accounting automation and is accredited by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
The fintech was awarded one of the top five spots in the online global pitch competition, walking away with a share of the US$100,000 prize money and a portion of up to US$5million in investment commitments. In addition, they have access to the Alibaba ecosystem for networking opportunities, insights and resources that will help with business growth.
